Rich Denial Reignited

Patrick (Patrickblog) has become a finalist in The Edge Next Top Friend competition and has been flown to Auckland where he will live in a house with nine other strangers and compete for prizes as well as $10 000! He will have to get the most friends on social networking sites within the time period. The contestant with the most friends wins the money! Congratulations Patrick, from GG and all my GGIs, and good luck with the competition. We’ll be rooting for you.

Just when you thought the TDL saga had come to a close, Dannie (ThatEnglishGirl111) and Tenani (nanisnap) go and do this. Rumours have been flying since this video was posted on the nanisnap channel, with many in the community noting that the relationship between them seems to be intensifying, instead of cooling down as had been expected. I, for one, thought Dannie would have been through with love after Levi (corporalcadet) left her confused and hurt, but it will be interesting to see what happens to this reignited love triangle.

Word on the street is also rife that Ryan (TheNewZealandishBrit) comes from a very very weathly family. GGIs on the ground in Hamilton have reported seeing him being dropped off at the bus stop in his dad’s Hummer. My informants also report that he pays for everything with an American Express card, connected directly to his parent’s credit accounts. Could we have a NZYT rich kid? Perhaps he should be helping out with getting people to the gathering? Stay tuned for more as we hear it.

GGIs are reporting that Alex (AlexTheOwl) is currently publicly denying that he and Joe (TheJoeFrom1993) are or were ever in a relationship. He claims that they never went out and it was only a joke. This is quite the backtrack as everyone already knew they were together. It seems not all is well in the relationship anyway, with Alex being into a few too many dodgy things than Joe would be comfortable with.
GGI: Bongo

Taylor (ThatDoorGuyy) has been blamed as the mastermind behind the infiltration of FiveAwesomeKiwis by almost everyone who wrote in about this issue. It seems Taylor obtained the password and then blocked Jayson (justanotherkiwi) and Ben (BattleSoup), among other notable YouTubers, from commenting on the channel. He did, however, give the password to Patrick after much pestering, but as Patrick was trying to bring the channel back under his control, YTHQ suspended the account. The original cast are currently negotiating with YTHQ to get the account reopened.

Josh (skishua) is using Jess (Jessums31) to gain a visa, and eventually citizenship to New Zealand. GGI reports from inside numerous skype calls say that Josh proposed the idea to Jess, knowing of her feelings about him. Reports say Josh’s justification for moving to New Zealand is to escape the CIA assassins after him after he had a secret love affair with Sarah Palin. Their child was a three legged, half moose hockey player with a tattoo of Levi on it’s middle finger.

Trouble in YTland

Looks like I’ve relaunched just at the right time, because drama is rife in NZYTland.

FAK HACKED?

Let me start with the major story of the week, which I’m sure you are all aware of, and that is the FiveAwesomeKiwis situation. As we all know, the second generation of FAKers called it quits when they realised they couldn’t keep the momentum going that the first generation had achieved. The channel lay dormant for a couple months before a random one of some weird guy appeared. The rumours started flying. Next thing we know the channel relaunches for a third time with an all new cast.

Now obviously this new cast was just trying to leech subscribers off of FiveAwesomeKiwis, that much was obvious, but the real question is whether or not the channel was hacked, or one of the five second generation FAKers gave out the password?

I’ve had emails from most of the nine original FAKers about this situation and all of them claim they don’t know how the password out and most of them point the blame at the others. The most common accusations are at Patrick (Patrickblog), allegedly out of spite for his generation spanning failure at keeping the channel going; or Ben (BattleSoup) and Jayson (justanotherkiwi) out of spite of their new channel (KiwiCollision) not taking off.

Either way, the new cast of FAK barred all previous cast members from commenting, as well as a few other prominent YouTubers. This caused the original cast to freak out and report the channel to the YT powers that be, who promptly moved to suspend the account.

And thus ends a chapter in NZYT history, FAK is suspended and the community is torn apart by FiveFuckingKiwis who thought they piggy back on the success of others. Nice try though.

LEVI, A YOUTUBE MLUT?

Latest update on Levi (corporalcadet) and Dannie (ThatEnglishGirl111) is that recently Levi came down to Auckland and spent the night at Dannie’s house. Yes. Spent the night. Details are sketchy on what actually went on that night, but Twitter sleuthing tells me that Dannie claims that she “slipped” and fell on Levi while watching a movie. What part of him, I wonder? The situation has left Dannie confused after Levi claimed he was single when most on YouTube know quite well that he has a girlfriend in Kerikeri. Could this simply have been an Auckland booty call for NZ’s most popular YouTuber?

- Happy 17th birthday to Juno (junoluvsu) for yesterday.

-Happy 20th birthday to Chris (chrisontv88) for tomorrow.

-Simon (simonPARASITE) is rumoured to be having an online relationship with Shawna (Nanalew), and hopes to meet up with her at the Sydney AusOne Gathering.

-Ryan (TheNewZealandishBrit) has reached 100 subscribers after coming out of nowhere to becoming among the who’s who of NZYT.

-Tenani (nanisnap) was left out of the collaboration video for Juno’s birthday. Jealousy from Cameron (EnglishCameron), who organised it (and has a major crush on Juno)?

-Rache (wizardneedsfoodbadly) and Jess (jessums31) are falling deeply in love with Josh (skishua). Now that Levi-Dannie-Tenani has fizzled out, could we have a new YT love triangle on the horizon?

-Lauren (VivaLaLauren) has a strange obsession with New Zealand and New Zealanders. Apparently she stays up until unnatural hours just to talk to our NZYTers… strange.

This just in!

Apparently a sex tape exists featuring Patrick. NZYTGossip is currently negotiating with the seller for exclusive access to this tape but so far all we’ve recieved is this supposidly “scandalous” picture. But to us it doesn’t really show anything more than an average Patrickblog vlog.

When FiveAwesomeKiwis ended Jayson (justanotherkiwi) and Ben (BattleSoup) announced that they were working on a new channel, but still haven’t told us the name of the new channel.

It happened. Today. Told you it would. The channel known as FiveAwesomeKiwis is officially no more. The page will remain as a place to watch the old videos, but no new ones will be posted, bar a shameless promotion for Ben (BattleSoup) and Jayson (justanotherkiwi)’s new channel. GG will of course be following the new one closely.

FAK Pat-less

My prediction in the last post that Patrickblog would leave FiveAwesomeKiwis was today confirmed.

How’s that video huh? You can cut the tension with a knife!

Let’s see how long the rest of them last without any of the original cast. Looks like Liam (blibbybot) and Joe (TheJoeFrom1993) have all but given up anyway, so really FiveAwesomeKiwis is just Ben (BattleSoup) and Jayson (justanotherkiwi).

Drugs, Love and Hate

Sorry for my random absence.

In a short follow up to my last entry on the ongoing friendship relationship between P from patrickblog and L from corporalcadet. On a live chat P admitted to wanting to ‘do’ (yes, as in have sex with) L if he were gay. What, like he’s not gay? Watch out L.

Update: P has come out and said that his new ‘BFF’ is J from Jessums31. Not really sure what to make of this yet, but perhaps he’s trying to prove something? By the way P: no one uses ‘BFF’ anymore.

T from nanisnap is currently in Australia. No reason is given for his impromptu trip, and having watched some of his previous videos, T seems to travel over there quite a lot. Quite suspicious, this girl thinks… What need would he have to go to this country this many times? A source has informed me that he has a history with drugs. Perhaps this has something to do with his travelling? Maybe he’s attending a rehab centre over there, or worse… trafficking? Following on from that, in YT romance news there seems a budding new relationship between L from corporalcadet and D from ThatEnglishGirl111. Users have reported seeing numerous comments left between the two young YTers. Reports have it that T from nanisnap had also been courting D. T and L are now refusing to talk to each other because of the issue, but no further developments in this potential love triangle.

Lewisbostock mentioned J from Jessums31 in his 003. NZ YouTube video. Sources tell me the two relatively new YouTubers have been meeting up IRL. No word yet on the nature of their relationship but it appears to be something more than friends. Not sure what P would think of this…

The channel rockstarsupernova is partnered but has no videos. NZYT users are outraged at this example of unfairness at YTHQ, with many being denied entry to the Partner Program themselves, but seeing this tease on the Partners list. Sort it out YT.

The new cast are up on FiveAwesomeKiwis, with P taking control and acting as leader and mentor. I’m interested to see how long the new cast last before the hate comments or P get to them. Everyone knows P was the reason for the last cast leaving, let’s see if his new (all male) cast last long. Speaking of the new cast, a bit of a rocky first week for P’s motley crew. Mr Tuesday never really got going (pulled a sicky). Mr Wednesday suffered an unfortunate amount of hate, due to the overall cruddiness of his video. I will reserve judgement on this one until I see more of him. Mr Thursday was the favourite upon posting his video, but soon was attacked for being a homophobe. Mr Friday seems to be the new favourite, having already found some success on YouTube.

A corporal mess of Patrick proportions

It seems as though NZYT is dying down a bit. I guess I came in just at the right time.

R from wizardneedsfoodbadly seems to be giving up on YouTube for a while, stating she wants to take a break. Something to do with exams or something? Sources: fill me in. GG needs to know more about why this popular YTer is taking a break from her beloved channel, just a week ago she got married! Could a baby be around the corner?

But seriously.

As we all know, FiveAwesomeKiwis have been having a bit of trouble recently. Personally I saw this coming from a mile away and it’s actually suprised me how long it took for P’s ego to envelope the whole channel. That said, I think P was right for bringing the issue to the masses, because as much as L would like to believe that the channel is for them to “get to know eachother” it’s not. They have upwards of 1300 subscribers, which (whether L likes it or not) changes the point of the channel to entertainment for said subscribers.

If he really wanted to get to know the others then why not email back and forth? Talk on MSN? Skype? Something private? I know why. It’s because he likes it public. L is smart. L likes subscribers. L knows what gets subscribers. And when it hit the fan on FiveAwesomeKiwis, he jumped ship pretty quick. Claiming that P was in the wrong, siding with the majority and looking like the good guy. Good work L. I like your style.

Anyone else love his excuse about not having enough time? He is so busy he started a new collaboration channel to play around with. Check it out here. Obviously it’s not in the same style, but it seems a little fishy to this girl for him to quit one channel and start another.

Lastly for today, eager readers, the Auckland YouTube Gathering in October is still on, although information has been drip fed from one philipnewmannz. Rumour has it that some very familiar faces from YT abroad may be joining the party. I, of course, will be observing the Gathering from a distance, but to reveal my identity would be greatly detrimental to the success of this blog.
