The NZYTcommunity have recently “shunned” Rob (halfscottishguy), for his behaviour during the Wellington 09 Meetup. Many participants of the gathering (more about that on a later date) have had a go at him and a few have even resorted to blocking him on various social networking devices.

Rob has since apologized to those involved, and has unsurprisingly recieved a less-than-joyous response.

Regularly Scheduled Programming

Some of you have pointed out different writing styles within this blog. As you can imagine, NZYTGossip is very time consuming, and in the early days I found myself unable to cope with the writing and photo editing and emails. This is where the GGI programme came in. I decided to ask for loyal contributors to register with me so I could find a couple of dedicated assistants. When I am working on another project, or busy following a lead, one of my assistants will write the post for me. We try to keep writing styles uniform but obviously it is showing. Question: Would you like us to continue to sign as GG reguardless of who actually wrote the post? Or would you like individual alias sign offs?

And now back to GOSSIP.

-The Insider (logiebear42) has decided to throw in the towel. Quite unfortunate, given that I myself was on Team Insider. Oh well. Good luck with the channel, Logan.

-In other imposter news; as if one competitor was not enough, NZYT Gossip Boy (is it http://gbiscomingtogetyou.wordpress.com or http://nzytgossipboy.wordpress.com?) has sprung up as well. The community seems to be growing tired of NZYTGossip knockoffs, as shown by Simon (pommypictures)’s video below:
